Yesterday, we went to Inter-American Development Bank. Japanese employees told us about their tasks and what we should do to realize our own dreams.
After that, we visited National Portrait Gallery. There are lots of pictures but it was difficult for me to understand an art.
And then, we went to Chinese town. It reminded me my home town Yokohama, which is known to have Chinese town!!
At night, eating sandwiches as dinner, we played animal game. It was fun!!

It's great to have the Japanese workers as speakers because it's easier to understand what they say, right?
Wow, you've visited China town! That sounds really interesting. ^^ Your mention about China town in Yokohama definitely makes me want to visit there! Hahaha~.
I never got to visit the Chinatown in Yokohama, but I come to Washington D.C.'s Chinatown every once in awhile! It's quite small, so there isn't as much to enjoy, but perhaps one day you can visit the Chinatowns in New York City and San Francisco!

I found interesting that you wrote the Japanese speakers at the IDB motivated you to follow your dreams, the same way it probably happened to them ... Some people think it is only necessary to like or dislike a work of art, but I agree that understanding something about the composition of the art, its creator, and the rules s/he was following or breaking, help us to have a deeper appreciation of it, whether we "like" it or not.
Are there courses in art appreciation or art history that you can take at AGU?
