August 7th

Yesterday, I learned about American history. I studied world history for entrance exams, so I knew about American history. But there were lots of episodes I didn't know in the class. In the evening, I went shopping to Pentagon City. There were lots of shops, but I didn't buy anything.

Today, I went to Washington Post. I was surprised to see the large printing machines. After this class, I’m going to go shopping to a typical American supermarket. I want to buy souvenirs for my friends!!

Hi again Keina,
Did you study World history for the entrance university exams in Japan? That´s really interesting. I don´t think our Venezuelan students know much about it but they have a very rough idea of the history of Europe and the country, basically.
The visit to the Washington Post does seem exciting, especially to see first-hand the huge printing machines. I hope you found something nice for your family and friends at the mall.
Cheers,
Berta

I studied American history in high school, but I learned many new things from Dr. Hallion's lecture, too. And I have never studied Japanese history, so you are ahead of me!

Hello again, Keina!
It must have been an interesting experience for you to listen to the lecture! I wish I were there because I've been interested in the American history as well even though I'd learned about it for the entrance exam just like you.

What did you get for your friends??
